Come and learn the techniques to work with this amazing clay-like material and apply your own design to the projects!
This course introduces the basics of jewelry making using PMC (Precious Metal Clay).
Topics include principles of design, properties of PMC, basic tools and basic tool creation, PMC carving, stone setting, make and use of molds and stamps, firing, finishing and polishing. Students should complete three finished pieces.
What is Precious Metal Clay? It was developed in the early 1990s in Japan. The material consists of microscopic particles of pure silver and a water-soluble, non-toxic, organic binder that burns off during firing leaving behind a 99.9% pure silver piece.
*Cost: $280 plus HST(All Materials Included)
*Class Duration: 6 Sessions of 3 hours
*Projects: Texture Pendant, One hollow lentil bead, one painted paste leaf project
*Number of Students per Class: one-on-one or same bubble accepted.

Evenings: 6:30 to 9:30 pm
We are also offering free firing for students 4 months from the last class.
