Precious Metal Clay - Rings Only
Passionate about rings? Learn how to create your own unique rings in PMC3!
What is Precious Metal Clay? It was developed in the early 1990s in Japan. The material consists of microscopic particles of pure silver and a water-soluble, non-toxic, organic binder that burns off during firing leaving behind a 99.9% pure silver piece.
In this 2 day workshop, learn how to make your own hollow core ring and enameled ring using this amazing clay-like material. When it’s fired it turns into pure silver.
You will learn dry construction, carving, enameling, designing with scratch foam and several other techniques to create both rings. Each ring will be kiln fired.
Participants will create TWO projects from start to finish:
*Ring with Enamel
*Hollow Core Ring
*Cost: $365 plus HST (All Materials included)
*Class Duration: 2 Sessions of 6 hours
*Projects: Two PMC3 Rings
*Number of Students per Class: one-on-one or same bubble accepted.
