Jewelry Making & Metalsmithing - Introductory
Learn how to make jewelry using traditional jewelry techniques !
Learn these basic jewelry methods using a jeweler’s saw, soldering torch, flex shaft, rolling mill, files and other jewelry tools.
The participants will learn basic techniques in piercing, sawing, filing, soldering and finishing.
Students will create their rings, pendant and earrings, using their own designs and applying the learned techniques.
Cost: $335 plus HST (Materials extra- $30 to $40 Approx.)
Class Duration: 8 Sessions of 3 hours
*Projects: Students will make one Copper band, one Silver band, one Silver pendant and one pair of Silver earrings.
*Maximum Number of Students per Class: 6
Days: Thursdays: May 14 to June 18, 2013
Two sessions to choose from:
Mornings: 10am to 1pm
Evenings: 6:30 to 9:30 pm

Jewelry Making Casting - Introductory
This introductory class will give students the basic skills to start working using the lost wax casting method.
In this course, students will learn the basics of jewelry making using the lost wax casting method. Topics include principles of basic design, basic tool use, wax carving, investing, casting and finishing.
Students will create one plain half round band.
Cost: $335 plus HST (Materials extra)
Class Duration: 8 Sessions of 3 hours
*Projects: One half round ring and one Cuttlebone project.
*Maximum Number of Students per Class: 8

Silver Band - Basic Metalsmithing
Learn how to make a Silver band using traditional jewelry techniques.
Learn these basic jewelry methods using a jewelry saw, soldering torch, flex shaft, files and other jewelry tools.
The participants will learn basic techniques in texturing, sawing, filing, soldering and finishing.
Cost: $85 plus HST (Up to 10 grams of Sterling Silver included)
Class Duration: 1 Session of 3 1/2 hours
*Project: Students will make one Sterling Silver band
*Maximum Number of Students per Class: 6
